Thanks for the pics Rich!

My back pads are looking something like yours. So I guess I am still good!
I will take some pics oh my brakes when I get the wheel off to paint the caliper and the drums.

That is the same cut that I have for my discs! I  love them!

One thing that i found out is that the special bolt that holds down the donut spare wheel fits perfectly in the threaded hole to remove the drum. So, you can use that if you wish, and it has a handle!!

Yeah, people have a tendacy to get scared seeing no meat on the rear shoes...but they last allot longer than pads.

I was searching around for a bolt to get the drum off
How did you ever think to use the spare tire bolt?
P.S. Get the cadium (?sp) plating if  you get rotors!

Rich, I have a tendency ever since I was a little kid to always want to stick things into empty holes!  Wink

Actually when I needed to take off my rear drums just to check them I also needed a bolt. I don't have a donut spare tire anymore, but a full size tire. I had the bolt in my spare parts bag and I saw it and it looked the right size. lo and behold it was and it worked perfectly!!

So now you all know!
