hola rolla_pr de que parte de puerto rico tu esta? yo estaba en humacao.
i dont know know if they fit, since one head is a twin cam head and the other i just found out recently that it has a dual cam setup (one cam drives the other)so i dont know if the valve cut outs on the pistons are the same. that will probably be the only thing holding you back. you'll have to look it up in google or something. or talk to a toyota mechanic.

na` pues yo soy de aka del area metro (carolina), But i have family in naguabo and I know some people of humakao... I didn`t know that the valve cut was gonna a be a major problem cause the block is the same...is just that it is a little bit older... but i am researching Also, i founded a forged piston and rods kit (for the 4afe)at importperformanceparts.net and the price isnt that bad...so I am thinkin on buying it...but iam researching that too...Anyone here have dealed with them?... What do you think? pd. Na loko kuando puedas i kieras me anades al messenger cool_man_131@hotmail.com suave pai te cuidas

Ok people I have this question...do 4age pistons will fit my 4afe...cause it is the same block and the have the same bore....(81) You are correct on the bore sizes, but you have to look at the wrist pin. They might be different. Also, not all 4age wrist pins are the same. Some years they were 20mm others 18mm i think. As far as blocks... your wrong. the 4afe and 4age are very different. they have different strokes. If the blocks were the same them the 4age would fit perfectly on the 4afe block. They don't... so there you have it. Pistons to look for if you decide to use them and IF your wristpins fit would be the gen2 4agze pistons. They are ceramic coated. Be advised that toyota has 2 compression ratings for the 4agze pistons: 8.0:1 and 8.9:1. I recomment the 8.9:1.

thanks don fuskkinrolla for the advice...and some people have telled to me that the 4agze piston actually rised the compression on the 4afe..but I dont have a clearly reason...so I think that I am gonna deal with ipp.com (I will tell you...) or going custom and wait a complete month... so good luck to me Puertoricanrolla: tengo un tio que trabaja de mecanico para toyota en naguabo, pero no se se el esta trabajando todavia. -Eh ke kurioso por ke mi tio en naguabo tambien es mekaniko...jejeje Corollamaddness: hey man i use to live in Naguabo, family still there Bo. no problem rolla_pr.
One other thing... you might want to look into 3sgte valves. Especially for the exhaust side. They fit.

while the pistons alone may not work , i think the complete 4age bottom should work... i mean as an alternative to forged rods and pistons.. and then having to rebuild... i'm sure it should work.. its a direct bolt on with no modification with the 4ac , and the 4age head is often used with the 7afe bottom ...
i know with the 4ac you get to keep all your accessories , but i wonder if everything lines up when using it with 4afe?
anyone ever try this? or hear of this being done
