well i'm thinking of selling my 1999 toyota corolla. www.cardomain.com/id/corollafool. i'm at a point that i could use the extra cash for savings and stuff. i wanted and have bought a bunch a things for the car, i wanted to make it my autocross track car/daily driver but lack of money is kinda killing that dream. the car right now has 80,010 miles on it, it has 16" velox vx-8r rims with ventus 205/40/16 rubber, ground control coilovers and tokico shocks (which will get replaced because they're worn and they're about 2yrs old) it has a trd body kit, gunmetal altezzas, partially shaved trunk lid, "carbon fiber m3 mirrors which i converted to power mirrors with original toyota power mirror switch, in dash shift light (located inside the tach bezel), twm short shifter, carbon shift boot and shift knob, custom interior, custom cold air intake, custom 2.5" exhaust aluminum piping with a catco high flow cat and is300 muffler (sounds nice). also it has gotten a tune up recently with new NGK iridium plugs and wires and i also changed the ignition coils. now for the stuff i have sitting waiting for install is a slightly used TRD SUPERCHARGER (GM performance name plate $800), 2ZZge fuel injectors($30), SMT6 piggyback computer($400), JIC header($100), i also have a 2001 1ZZFE which had some engine damage the block needs to be bored out and i had bought a used valve head for the motor because it had chewed up the old head for both it came out to $750 with ecu and harness and i also have the MAS sensor ($30). i was thinking about selling the car for at least $7k and if the person wanted the other stuff with it then i was thinking about $9k for the it all. i think there might be some other stuff that i may have forgotten. pics can be available my email is vicmreyes@yahoo.com

Good luck with your sale, but I think the price is a little steep.

I sold my '98 Corola with 16" rims/tires, TRD kit and 78K miles for 5K, and that was back in 2004. You may have better luck making it as stock as possible, and selling the aftermarket stuff separate. That is  what I did, and it made me more money that way.

BTW my ar was on the market for 2 1/2 months before I sold it, and that icluded TRD struts.

Check edmunds.com and kbb.com for the going price of your car with your options in your area, this way you have a better idea of what you can get. And once you decide to sell it, you should do it as soon as possible since everyday that passes the value of the car disminishes.

what's the purpose of having the MR2 Spyder ECU?  I've never heard of that mod.  Can you elaborate alittle?

it's not an MR2 sypder ECU. the SMT-6 is a piggyback computer made by Perfect Power. http://www.perfectpower.com/products/smt6.asp  it enables you to adjust air fuel ratio etc. instead of buying the trd supercharger install kit which is around $1100 dollars whic comes with a TRD ECU and hoses and stuff the majority of the parts in that kit i wasnt going to use since i was going to use my cold air intake. what i was planning on using was the belt, idler pulley, and if i could have found it the harness for the fifth injector.
