The guy in the Viper needs to learn to drive it first before racing!

Ya, thats pritty much how my old Supra beat a Ford GT on 495 south one night....
Having said that... they also need to learn not to race with other cars around... Bit more trafic in that vidthan I would ever consider doing that in. For me the road hast to be pritty much empty.
PS, Hay Laz, you should come up for the next meet and meat on July 30th... I know it's a drive but there will be pie and I'm unvailing the MR2...

^No, July 30th. Prolly 3.5 hours from the city. I think it would be less then the Concord, NH meet we had.

Easy, Buying an EVO, STI, etc. with lots of driving aids and power, will make up SOME for your poor driving skills hence giving you a chance to be competitive in motor sports against people with less advanced/powerful cars.

Actually STI's and Evo's are harder to drag in that their AWD systems don't lends themselves to be launched like RWD/FWD cars. You have to slip the clutch, and you can't do clutch drops a la honda.
Another thing is that driving an AWD car through corners is harder since it tends to oversteer more. There are videos of people driving their STI's into the guardrails since they were driving then like 2WD cars by letting go of the gas while in the turn and oversteering. Basically you have to keep on the gs and power while goin in the turn. Same thing happens when the road gets a little slippery, and you try to overcompesate with the steering to get out of trouble.

^ when I was living in Japan I was driving an R32 GT-R and that was totaly difrent from my Supras and MR2.... I would say that while all the fancy driving aids can make you look cool in some cases, for the most part they hert more than help. Personaly I'm not a big fan of AWD on my hot rods, not because it's hard to drive (you ajust to it over time) but rather because it adds parts to brake and weight to the drive line.
