we suppose to try to be a club, but that went down the drain (long story so dont ask)

if u want to step up to the plate & get something started i probably be down for that.

I am caught in a situation where i am too old for a lot of the things(mostly the illegal things) the kids are into but to young to want or have an old muscle car. i dont streetrace EVER, i dont drink or smoke. i have talked to people about clubs and most of them fold becasue they are started and run by kids who get overwhelmed by the amount of work it takes to have a SUCCESSFUL CLUB. It takes money and time and a club is more than having some vinyl on your car. its about loving cars so much that you are naturally attracted to others who feel the same way. i have seen clubs start with all these grandiose ideas and then fall flat after they realize the time and money involved. and they say they have so many members........thats why the same 5 guys show up even though there is vinyl everywhere because the club did not have standards and any idiot with a mellonshooter muffler and some tailights could join and they dont care. you can beas big as you want but a club will not be successful if it members do not care enough to make it work. I might have to step up, Im 33 and a successful home owner it might just be time to do something about ths problem. BUt i do know what needs to be done. I need to meet with people and talk and get a small core group or half a dozen or so go to a couple of shows, help each other on our cars(yes i have lots of tools) and establish some comradery and standards. If anyone is interested post or email at excelon72@earthlink.net

yeah for sure.  they are really cool peoples.  Our meetings are on Sunday nights at various locations and on Monday nights right now we go to a cruise night not to far off the Garden State Parkway.  If the weather isn't bad tomorrow night we'll be there

ok id like to meet, lets try and set something up for friday night??? weather permitting but what close to you guys and me? i live way up in sussex county off route 15 which is off of route 80 or 287. there is a good burger place that caters to car guys called the chattebox. you can pull up and get foor or there is plenty of spaced out parking. a lot of muscle clubs meet there during events so the guy is a car buff. I would have not problem stepping up to the plate and putting the work, and money and time into a club but id rather join a group. But i have a few rules i dont drink and drive EVER, i dont do drugs EVER, I dont street race EVER. I dont condone fighting for the sake of REP or cause its cool. Im too old to be throwing down for bull**** reasons. once i get to know you guys i have an awesome "guys only room" with a pirate ship motiff thats decked out and a cool place to hang. my email is excelon72@earthlink.net let me know if a meet can be scheduled.

i AGREEE!!!!!!!!..... it does take a lot of TIME And MONEY.... you cant rush things... ive learned from my mistakes.. just take your time.. and yes most of these kids that just got thier lisence think they all that and start a club getting decals and what not....but yeh if you do start one... it be kool...there are a couple of car clube in nj but only a few of them are the successful ones..
