I have a very nice 93 Corolla but it is burning oil. A friend just wrecked his 98 Corolla. He will give me the car. Can I make the 98 engine work in the 03? I will have all the wiring and cpu. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

That is a big job! All custom mounts, and many other things. The 1ZZFE has the intake manifold in the front of the car. The engine that came with the 93's (4AFE) have the intake manifold in the front.

Is this something that you are lookign to have someone do it for you, or are you tackling it yourself? Regardlessit will be a lot of work and money.

Probably better off doing a 4AEG swap.

Welcome by the way.

You are better off putting a 4AGE into the corolla it's a drop-in pretty much.

The engine will probably bolt right in and you should be able to use the '98 axles and whatnot, the biggest issue is going to be the wiring (I can do that for you if you send it to me) and the odds and ends like exhaust, p/s and a/c lines, and things like that. But the engine itself will bolt right in.

Since the car is going to be free, if your '93 is in pretty good shape, it wouldn't be a bad idea if you have the time on your hands to do it.
