This motor was built and ran for about 2000 miles in an 86 AW11. This was back in the 80s, and it was pulled out and properly stored since!
Here is the info he gave me, the price is from what he paid in 1987:
16v 4age (not sure of year, from an AW11) Been told it is a 3-rib block (85-86)
Honed with a 'torque plate' .20 over (something like he put a fake head on it and bored it...?) $800
Larger oil passages (not sure if this is true, but what he said!)
Everything has been rebuilt or replaced, and matched for the 12:1 compression. (So he said)
All I *know* for a fact is that it doesn't appear to have any damage and it *is* bored out 20 over!
I know it really was honed though, and it has VERY low miles, as you can still see the crosshatching perfectly!
Make an offer on this. Pickup EXTREMELY preferred... as it is over 100lbs and will have to go freight on a pallet. I am in MA.
