I've been looking to find somebody who's done this swap before...I know ELPROTOTYPES has done this and well I've emailed them numerous of times and they dont respond so I'm guessing there must be another person out there with this swap...somebody help thanks.

jt, this swap has never been done in the US that I know of. There are a couple guys in the Phillipines who have done it though.

i remember someone on C3 mention something about a 98 i think with the 3sgte swap but they never provided pictures

supposedly the european corolla is the same chassis as the zze110 plus they come with a 3sge engine and the 3sgte uses the same mounts so I should just get those mounts from europe....but I'm still debating if I will go thru this.

All I can say is research, research, research, research, research..........Also, the Euro Rolla is not like ours (sheet metal wise). I know in Spain at least. ALL of the Rolla's there are Hatch's and competely diff from a US one. I know the 3SG(T)E has the same mounts as a 5SFE in the Camry's and Celi's (among others).

for a '98 corolla that never came with the S series motors, i'd think custom mounts would be needed. the 5SFE mounts only work if ur a. swapping it into a chassy that came with a 5SFE (or any other S series motor) and b. were using the manual tranny that comes with the 5SFE. anything else id imagine u need custom mounts and possibly a lot more custom stuff. the doc is the person to talk to if u want this swap to happen.
