Having lived in Japan and knowing coulter as well as the way street racing is over there…. I haft to say, that looks gayer than Sponge Bob and less realistic than the prospect of mutant albino ham base flail wielding micro hamsters achieving global dominance threw the sale of lo-cal cooking lard to pineapple farmers in Siberia… I demand that couple of minuets of my life back…
I almost let a friend of mine cast my Supra as an extra in the opening section of that movie… I could not have lived with my self if he had succeeded… That looks like a horrible mockery of Japanese street racing coulter…

I wonder how many kits will get into accidents trying to drift their FWD cars after they watch this movie. I am not driving on the opening weekend of this movie! :-)

The biggest thing about this that will suck is the next wave of kids that get ‘into’ cars because of it (meaning more rice) and the cops will start fallowing us around more, jus like they did after the first and second ones came out…

i remember i went to watch the second one on the opening night.. there were soo many cops out that night.. it was insane.. i thought there was a shooting out or something...

Shortly after the first one came out a whole bunch of new anti street racing laws where passed in CO and cops started pulling me over for having 'dark tint' or just to qwestion me.... It sucked...

Let's petition on all the baords to get Hollywood from making BAD movies and ruining our hobby/activities by creating young kids to do stupid stunts while cops crack down on the whole genre.

There was a 54 page thread in off topic on supra forums, mostly complaining about how the F&F movies have severely hurt the supra community (it’s a big part of why I’m a MkIII guy, not a MkIV). The discussion involved the guy that casts the cars for thaws movies (he owned the original supra) and he is involved as an adviser. The biggest problem is there is money to be made, not from us so much as the 16 year old want to be crowd. If the people that know nothing about it stopped going the movies would stop being made, but the problem with a group like ours is we are seen in a bad light as a result of the movies and are the minority so we have little control.
I would suggest a movie be made about serious enthusiasts that don’t race on the street and that are safe responsible people. In that movie you would haft to show the true nature of a real auto enthusiast and you would haft to demonstrate just how dumb the street racing rice is. I could even be done ‘Super Size Me’ style like a low budget documentary as long as it showed us in a realistic light. That I would happily take part in and lend my skills to. Hell, I have the camera equipment to film it in HD if some one has the audio and the editing capabilities we could make it ‘blare *****’ meets ‘march of the penguins’ style then see if we can get it shown as an independent film.

I know that after the movie is released the selling price of my 240 is gonna sky rocket.. then selling it wont be an issue.
I would be down with making a real-life vid on the true hobby/enthusiast. The owner and president of team hyper is trying to get one together as it is. All of new england if possible.
