Hello everyone, VERSATILE car club is putting together a JDM show in or around Richmond VA. The ease coast hasn't seen many if any JDM inspired car show. The two presidents of VERSATILE have hosted many shows in the past and have attended a lot of big time shows up and down the east coast. We are currently scouting out several locals and I am planning on contacting the Drift Alliance and/or US Drift for a possible session at the show. I need help on the classes. I want to make them worth it but not to spread out. Here is what I have come up with so far:

Honda:
- Civic AF,EF,EG,EK,ES,EM,EP,FG
- Integra AV,DA,DB,DC
- Accord 91gen, CD, 98+
- Prelude BB1,BB6
- NSX
- S2000
- Other

Nissan
- Skyline R32,R33,R34,V35
- Silvia S13,14, Sileighty
- Fairlady Z32, Z33
- Sentra B13,B14,B15
- Other

Mitsubishi
- Eclipse D2,D3,D5
- Lancer non evo
- Lancer Evo
- Other

Mazda
- RX FC,FD,FE
- Miata
- Other

Subaru
- Impreza
- Sti
- Legacy

Toyota
- Supra JZA70,JZA80
- Celica ST,ZZT
- Corolla AE,ZZ
- MR AW,SW,ZZ
- Other

Specialty Classes:
Farthest Traveled (might be a cash prize)
Best
- Engine bay
- Suspension
- Ext.
- Int.
- Wheels
- NA (including nitrous)
- Forced Induction
- JDM (might be a cash prize for this one)
- JDM inspired (non Japanese vehicles only)
- Display
- ICE
- Club
- 2dr
- 3dr
- 4dr
- Wagon

Do you think this is too many? Did I forget anyone? I was also thinking about only giving out a 1st place for each class and a plaque to those who meet the points. The points will be a Carlisle Tuner event themed system however not focusing on just aftermarket parts but placement, jdm, cleanliness and aftermarket. We are thinking about also having a Bikini and possible Wet-T. Tentative date is June 17. Still undecided on pricing; depends on events, classes and trophies within the classes. Would this be a show you would want to attend (not saying you are)? Any feedback good or bad would be awesome. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and if you reply THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

It's alot but I think it's awesome and wish there was more supporters to actually turn out when people put shows together to get the East Coast representation. There are alot of cars you see running around and when a show comes nobody is there, thus the east coast problem.  We only get ok turn outs when a westcoast based shows visit here.  Even Florida has a horrible show scene compared to the state of CAlifornia which is sad if tuning enthusiasts are really all over.  Just no support so on body does the work.  I've done two gatherings and though ok for friends and family now when I advertise to do an actual money run big event people don't want to go due to the lack of people showing up previously so it actually works against you with those that tried to support you as well.  I'd be down for going.

Thank you for the response. I realize we wont pull any profit from this, but then again we arn't in it for the money at all. I know there might be to many classes but I also hope because of this it will intice more people to come out. You say you've thrown meets and shows before, what do you think of the classes we've come up with? Thanks for the feedback!

Alright. I know I just posted up on here but I have an update on the classes and date. This show has actually been in our thoughts for some time now and I've had this posted up a few other places for about a month or so. We are trying our best to make this happen. Here is the new classes, better / worse?

Honda:
- Civic AF and older,EF,EG and EK,ES/EM/EP and newer ( I know this may piss of some EG and EK owners but they are a comperable chassy unlike the other years)
- Integra DA/DB and older,DC(RSX)
- Accord
- Prelude
- Sports car class (NSX and S200)
- Other

Nissan
- Skyline
- Silvia (240SX)
- Fairlady/Z
- Sentra
- Other

Mitsubishi
- Eclipse D2,D3 and newer
- Lancer Evo/non evo
- Other

Mazda
- RX 7/8
- Miata
- Other

Subaru
- Impreza/WRX
- Sti
- Legacy

Toyota
- Supra
- Celica
- Corolla
- MR-2/S
- Other

Specialty Classes:
Farthest Traveled (might be a cash prize)
Best
- Engine
- Ext.
- Int. (maybe but probably not)
- JDM (might be a cash prize for this one)
- JDM inspired (non Japanese vehicles only)
- Display
- Club
- 2dr (doubtful)
- 3dr (doubtful)
- 4dr (doubtful)
- Wagon (doubtful)

Yes/NO?

I also was able to contact the Drift Alliance and they were game depending on the location. The location has not been finalized but the trophies are. We decided on July 15 since June 17 is the day before fathers day. Heading in a better direction? Thanks everybody!

If we get more interest for additional classes we will go from there. I liked the first set of classes but it was to many. Thanks for the feedback TheTruth!
