OK guys so now I am torn between my wheels and new ones that just came out. I bought my wheels like less than 4 months ago and this is what I have currently:

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/DisplayWheel.jsp?wheelMake=ASA&wheelModel=EM9&wheelFinish=Bright+Satin+Sil+Paint

but the same company ASA just came out with the same mesh type but with the polished lip! I really want a polished lip! Check them out:

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/DisplayWheel.jsp?wheelMake=ASA&wheelModel=AR1&wheelFinish=Silver+w%2FMachined+Lip

Now mine are not that heavy. I found out they are 19.5 lbs per wheel, and I like the satin silver finish they have. The polished lip are silver, but have a polished lip! They are also more expensive ($159 vs $139)

So, I really like the polished lip and I like the color of my wheels, if they only had the satin color with a polished lip!

Anyway, if I was to sell my wheels do you all think I could get $100 for each wheel since they are pratically brand new? That woul probably put me in a good budget to buy the polished lip ones, but I don't know!

Anyway, which one do you think looks better on my car, and what do yo guys think of all of this. Keep in mind that the polished ones are probably heavier and more expensive as well!

uuugh!

hehe, so you are saying that a lip will not look too good on our cars? I also wonder what the offset of that wheel is since they have the lip. You know what I'll call them and find out!

X, both ur and the ones u like now are ill.  Its just a question if u want to try to seel ur rims first then buy, or buy then sell.

What are the bolt specs on ur rims and size.  I know my brother wants to buy rims eventually.  I could runi it past him.  He has a 1990 Acura Integra GS, and Im pretty sure it is a 4 bolt pattern.

Oh BTW he is looking for 17's.

I just can't get those cheap polished rings that snap onto steelies out of my head, that's all I think of when I see the polished lip rims.  I like your current ones anyhow.

hey Jeff, they are 16" on my car with a 4 x 100 bolt pattern and a 40 + offset. They have a 19.5 weight.

I just got off the phone with the tirrack and I found out the specs on the AR1's

They are also the same weight 19.5 or maybe even a little lighter. They have a +45 offset but I guess that is because of the lip that they do. So they look pretty nice, and a nice offset! Now I am really torn! uuugh, I think I will sleep on it, but you guys can probably help me out!

I totally know what snap on lips you are talking about!  :-)  But I think this look a lot differently that those lips. Remembeer, those were chrome! Yeah, I like my wheels as well. They have been really good to me so far in that they are pretty durable and easy to clean. Plus I just spent some money on them recently, so I would have to spend like alost 700 for the new ones (shipping costs) and even if I got 400 for mine, tath would stil lmean $300 out of my pocket for just polisehd lip! uuugh.

No, just wheels. They were like $140 each without tire, just the wheel! They are not that cheap, but they have been really durable!

it all takes hard work to get that check to then decide what moves to make.  what counts mostly is to make that check spent count as much as possible so you feel some satisfaction, and wonder "well where did it all go???"

Hids are always a good up grade, besides soon itll be hard to have em installed cause they are tryin to ban them.

or you could do something else like body styling, or even enhancements like neons or something.  But HID a big dawg move.

Yeah i know i'm late on this thread but Xavier the pros about the ones with the lip is that they do look better, and gives your car a more aggressive look.. Cons, is that if you go with 16's they will look smaller than your current setup reason being is because the mesh spokes are gonna be inside the lip and therefore shorter, unlike your currint rims where the mesh spokes extend to the very top making your rims look more like 17's..  Just something to ponder over.. But i say go with the lips i think they're hot..

Thanks Rob for the input. Like I said I also like the polished lip, and the specs on the new wheel look good as well. That is a good point on the wheels looking smaller becuase of the lip. WHat I tihnk I am going to do is wait for them to be out for a wile and see if they go on special at some point. If those wheels would have been available when I bought mine for sure I would have gottem them!

I am not unhappy with mine, is just seeing them...well you know what I mean!! It's like getting a pair of new shoes for the lady!! Stilleto's that is!!! Wink
