I happen to know the guy that coordinates all the cars for that Move?  Knowing what they do to those cars, I would not buy one if you paid me to?  They are really put together in the most haft ass way in the world.  I felt really bad then they trashed that MkIV supra for the first movie, it used to be a really sweet car.

As far as the Gay and the Worthless 3 being a highly anticipated movie, I think they are kidding them selves.  Although having lived in Japan, I wonder how they are going to depict the car seen over there, probably just as bad a job as they did with the way they depicted it here.  I would also point out that Japan dose not let even suspected criminals in on extended visit visas, of which the movie depicts the main character being sent there because he gets in trouble here.  If anyone ells has ever been there on a none work extended visit visa (I was there as a n exchange student), they know Japan is very careful about who they give them out to?

As a final thought, I think a lot of people would laugh at your ass for having paid so much for a cheese movie car like that.  For that price you could pick up a nice MkIII supra or mid 90?s MR2 that would kick that cars ass 64.7 ways from Sunday.

Sorry, I get sort of emotional because the stupid movies have all but destroyed the supra community and it is only starting to recover.  I wish hollyfags would stop making this unrealistic garbage and listen to there tech advisers more?  I mean really ?and a Motec system exhaust? or ?not double clutching? in a drag race, or the best, Nitrous Oxide on an RX7?

I hear it is crowded. :-)  But thanks for the feedback GLK. I kow I would no buy a movie car not in a million years. It is all built for the movie like you stated, and it is a good point that they must take a lot of shortcuts. The only part of that franchise that had maybe a little bit of entertainment was the first part, but that was only because of how far fetched everything was. BTW I saw one of the girls from the original (Jordana Brewster) yesterday on a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman. She is still pretty cute.

While agreeing with most of the comments stated, the Movies is enjoyable for multiple of reasons if not for accurancy.  We just pick on this one more because it is human nature to hate what people exploit from our hobbies.  If the thread was different we would destroy those movies perhaps but anyway I will still buy the movie perhaps on DVD.

And as far as being accurate from the scene from the first movie well I can see your point to an extant like just running aorund the streets daytime like that but do we not hang out in parking garages and open lots.  Or drag race up and down streets lined with cars on the side? I did. The movie captures Hunt's point NY pretty damn well in the beginning.  Hundreds of cars and cops and though the cops show up we probably everaged a good 1-2 hours of drag racing through out the night with no interuptions.

Hmm to depict the Japanese scene. . . well the drifting would be accurate for some racing clubs on the pro circuits but I think we would laugh if they showed what Japs actually think is hip to ride around in sometimes otherwise.  Think mexican cars hooked up.  It is worse on what they do to their cars.  Not all of them but we don't have a "RICE" problem in the states like the Japs do, if they were to calling it that.

Are the lines the writers gave them cheesy? Ok you made your point.

regardless of how 'not real' or how bad they make everything look... i watch them.. i bought the first one, my brother bought the second one, and im sure i'll buy the third one. they are fun to watch. its a movie. its not real. i mean come on, who doesnt like watching cars jump over things.. slide around corners, go really fast, get shot at, etc etc. its a goddamn movie. ... xXx = the car jumping off the side of the road into the boat.. that sure as hell wasnt real, but we enjoyed watching it. i dont see anyone ripping that movie apart. Bambi.. did the animals really talk? hell no. [ok we probably didnt enjoy this one as much as the rest, but you get my point]. the fast and furious series has gotten so much flack... noone can just take it for what it is... A MOVIE!

Ride, looks sweet but I still couldnt dump my money into something that someone else built, half-assed or not. I would much rather do it on my own.

OneHotPathy  I love the living heck out of Japan and would gladly sell the soles of innocent children to less than morel people for more opportunities to go there.  I have been lucky, I get the opportunity to visit m exchange family in Toyota City every few years.  I would take the chance to live there permanently in a heart beat.

As far as crowded, it is in the cities, but there is a whole countryside to Japan as well.  And where my exchange family is in Toyota, it is not much worse than most subdivisions with small lots in Boston outskirts.

Back on topic?  I do have the first 2 my self, I do watch parts for the cars?  My problem stems from the advisers being good people and the retards making the movie being exactly that, retards.  The movie could have been 100x better if they would have really listened to there advisers and fixed some of the dumb dialog.

As far as rice in Japan?  The seen over there is totally different than over hear and the taste is different.  But at the same time they look at a lot of the stuff we do and laugh about how dumb it is to them.  I would not say it?s a bigger rice problem so much as the cultural difference and I would be quick to point out that most of the wild cars over there have power to back it up, unlike the rice we have here.

I will see the 3ed movie for the sake of some of the seen shot over there, to see places I have been and point them out to friends and to make fun of there interpolation of japans racing seen?

I will leave you with a pic I took last time I was over there, at one of my favorite places to take time to sit and think?  Kinkokuji in Kyoto?

That place is absolutely beautiful. My wifes family resides in okinawa, she had the chance to go there a few years back and never ended up goin. She should have jumped on the opportunity i guess.

that pic is beautiful! I would love to go there and just see it. The closest that I have been to Japan has been at the world showcase in Epcot Center! :brick: :-)

Back to topic, they did sell some of the cars from the other FNF movies on ebay as well, and one member here that belongs to a car club in Florida ( Asianrick ) actually was chosen as an extra with his car for teh second part.

I will send him an e-mail and have him stop by.

Thank you, I pride my self on my Photography skills being just a tad better than up to snuff?

Ya, I know the guy that had the Supra from the first movie before the movie and then the guy that bought it right after.  I have been pestering both of them to stop in here but there not really interested.  However, you will be happy to know the Supra from the first movie has been completely de riced and is once agene yellow like it originally was, with NO stickers on it.

I do feel bad for whoever is dumb enough to pay what there asking for that car?  What a joke?

I agree GrandLorde, I was juts saying by sheer numbers that they have ALOT fo rice BUT by sheer numbers they have MORE OF EVERYTHING as well and agreed the power to back it up.  The dumb stuff is everywhere, but it is just everywhere!!!right next to something that would make you drool.  I was in Japan for a wedding and my Aunt was stationed there twice over 7 years

Sorry, I am some times forced to compulsively post odd or cool pics? Mostly when I?m in a good mood, like tonight.

Turbo! The Anti-Rice.

I would say as well that some of what we call rice is not rice to the Japanese. And am interested to see weather or not they show the extreme mutual respect the Japanese racers have for each other (Particularly between the guys that know what they are talking about, but not so much for the people that are just there).

But I will force you to respect this turbo!! If you don?t I will drop it on your tows?

Yes, that turbo and the intake wheel on the pallet go together and into a ship?  Very Large Diesel ship with 1 turbo per cylinder and 1 cylinder making over 10K ship HP?  So deterring?

You will bow before the demonic Carmel Apple Cheese Cake?  Ah ha ha ha ha ?.

And my Evil radiation cannon?. Yes that is an X-ray machine from work, also it is only one of 2 in the world mounted like that?

Aggghhh, not the evil apple cheesecake!!! aaagh! lol

That is some heavy duty machinery that you have there. I onced worked helping out to restore an old japanese fishing boat that had half sunk. The engine was not as big, but it still was pretty damn big! Half my body would fit in one cylinder. That job was pretty cool.

The guy that sold them the car for the movie modded it out specifically for the movie before turning over the tidal.  I know him personally.  They paid for a lot of the mods, including the body kit and the loudest BOV they could lay there hands on.  What happened to that car from what it was is a travesty.
