Private Messages

Is there a icon that tells you if you have private messages?  I just hit the button and found out that I had messages from april!!!!  I met Dr.Tweak and feel real bad that I never responded to any because I never knew I had em?  Where do you look to see if there are any....like a numeric indicator...preciate it!

usually in the home page on the top right corner (when your logged in) will say private messages and it will show a numeric indicator for unread and read
