I'm looking to re-apply my rain guards. Originally they had a clear sticky substance, anyone know what it is, or where I can get it? I was thinking about the 3M detailing tape, but I don't want one with foam on it. Any Ideas?

That sounds like a clear double sided tape that was used or a 'kleenstick' tape with release backer. Don't recomend either one, they are not for joints where there's expansion/contraction between materials (metal ~ plastic) and exposure to moisture.
3M double sided foam like tape should probably be used, it comes in gray color and may have a red release strip. You can use a black Sharpie to color the tape edges prior to install.

ooooo I need that stuff too, one of my tail light covers came off and all I was able to find was tape that was black, and it looks kinda nasty. 'Specially when I turn the lights on or hit the brakes
