Okay guys i have 2 problems with my car and need your suggestions..

1) As of Friday morning i've notice that my steering is not as firm and feels really loose coming into turns/curves. If feels as though i have to tug/pull the wheel more entering a turn or curve than before. Its a noticable differance than before. It doesn't feel unsafe but it does feel like the steering wheel needs alot more turning when driving. Power steering fluid is 3 quarters full by the way. Any ideas what it can be? I'm guessing alignment?? Someone also suggested Power Steering Pump?Huh

2) I have a squeel coming from my front left wheel. Its not the brakes cause it was there before and after new brake pads. The sqeel comes on/off randomly. what can it be? Someone told me to check the rotors and bearings?Huh?

What do u guys thinK?Huh

I think you should definitely have an aligment done just in case things are or got out of whack. As far as the screeching it may just be that the pads are wearing down and the sensor is starting to make noise. If yo can you should try to check and see how much material you have left. You should be able to look through your rim and more or less tell. Also check for disc wear, like deep grooves or not a smooth surface. We should eb able to check your brakes on the next DYI meet.

Yeah, in November i'm gonna raise my car back to stock height, put the steelies on in preperation for the winter and get an alignment afterwords.

Yeah but the squeel has been there before and after new brake pads along with warped rotors that where fixed on that machine where they spin the rotor. And i still hear the squeel. You think it can still be that??

I would have to hear it, but yeah there is a possibilty. If oyu use pads that are too metallic, then it may squeal as well. Also, there is a anti squealing spray that works well as well. We could look at it and see what we can do.

So, your car is a she? Mine always has a gender problem, sometimes it's a she, sometimes it's a he. My girl was asking me this weekend what it was?! Is it a she or he, since depending on the situation it can be either! Anyway mine is sick as well, I will post about it later and tell you guys what it is.

By the way, mine gets shy once in a while as well!  Tongue
