It was nice meeting Dennis(leeden), Xavier(Laz), and leeden's cousin in the city last night. We all had a few beers and food... Although I didn't eat, except for Xavier's fries, I watched these guys eat. I bought a TRD muffler that used to be on leeden's car and installed it this morning... Thx leeden for making the trip and thanks Xavier for making it all go down smoothly. Here are some pics of it installed: Dennis look @ it shine! Sounds great and looks good... Thx Dennis... :onfire:

Damn! That looks good! How much elbow grease did you use on that thing! It looks like you even polished the whole muffler and not just tip! 8O Did you end up using metal polish? And admitt it! You used power tools to polisht it, didn't you!!?? :applause:

Well Xavier, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it took me 15 min to polish that muffler and no power tools. One thing I do have to say is that after I was done... I must of lost a pound... There was a puddle of sweat around me. :sleepy: I went hardcore on that bish! I couldn't find any polishing cream and I was too lazy to head over to PeP Boys for that Billit cream, so I checked out my garage and found some Mag and Chrone Polish by Eagle1 that I used to use on my Mustang rims way back in the early 90's. Guess what? It worked.... Sorry to do this Dennis, but here are before and after pics: Thanks for the compliments guys... Well appreciated. And yes Xavier, I polished the whole muffler... :stupid:

Oh man, that's sweet! Hey Nick, was the wheels polish a paste or a liquid? Yeah, I know that sucker makes you loose a couple of pounds when you polish it! I only did the tip, but the rest of the muffler was shiny already. I hear the wheel polish would work as well, but I don't think it would work on your intake manifold, or anything that is not polished already.

nice muffler NICK!! was it hard to get the bolts off the old muffler?? and is it hard to hang the new trd muffler on? does it come with the hanger? Hey Tony, I put on mine myself. It was not hard at all, it just took time cuz I did it myself, and I had to go to home depot to get some good bolts. It comes with the right hanger and it just goes right on. It is really easy and looks nice! It is very nicely designed IMHO!

Thx Tony... Umm, it was fairly easy to put on. You will need two screws, two washers, two lock washers, two bolts and the right gasket to go between the TRD muffler and existing piping. The muffler comes with a built in hanger which slides onto a rubber bar which connects to two posts coming out of your car. Very easy to do. Just have a crow bar or pry bar near by when your ready to install it. You will need to pry that rubber piece off of your car in order to slide the TRD muffler on. Should take you no more than a half hour... BTW, due to rust I had to break one of the bolts off. Drench those screws with WD40 before trying to remove.
And Xavier, that polish was a liquid. I don't think that will work on the intake manifold. I would use the Billet cream for that.
