The purpose of this thread is to log problematic symptoms people have encountered with the Corolla's and what was the cause(s) of the problem. Please be very descriptive and clear in explaining your symptoms. Also, please only post if you have FOUND & FIXED the problem that caused your issue(s).

Corolla Vehicle Info:
- note year/trim/transaxle type

Symptom(s):
- detailed explanation

Cause(s):
- describe the problematic parts that caused the symptoms above

Price(s): < OPTIONAL, if you have this information on-hand
- list replacement parts & price (labor included, if you had it done by someone else)

I'll start:

Corolla Vehicle Info:
'98 Corolla LE

Symptom(s):
Clucking sound coming from back suspension.

Cause(s):
Bad sway bar link that connects the sway bar to the strut. The rubber boot goes bad letting the grease out and the clucking sound starts when metal to metal start to rub.

Price(s):
One rear sway bar link for $69 at the dealership, labor free since I did it myself.

2004 Corolla S MTM

Symptom(s):
Stalling at stop with A/C on.

Cause(s):
Carbon build-up in Idle speed control valve, causing valve to stick.

Price(s):
ISC valve replaced under warranty, A/C comprssor replaced, also under warranty
