I heard good things about the PIAA's as been very good blades. For me I always stuck to the OEM refills.

Thoughs are actually the ones I buy.

To prep the windsield what i do if first clean is with a solution of dishwasher soap and warm water.

Then i dry it off

clean it with Windex and newspaper.  The lead in the paper does something and leaves the windshield sparkly clean with no streaks!

then apply the wax.  I use Carnauba wax... basicly the one i use for the car.

Leave it on there for like 10mins.

then take it out.... And your done!

the first rain you'll be alittle pissed cause it'll look funny, but after that you'll be golden.  It great because when your on the highway you won't need your wipers!

Try a double wiper blade, they work quite well;
also, after washing your windshield, scrape down the whole glass with a razor.
The Windex, bug/tar remover, and even mineral spirits do not clean completely, you still have residue that you can?t see, but sometimes you can ?feel? it by passing a synthetic tack cloth over the glass, and you will feel ?snagging?.

Use a rectangle type single edge shaped razor with a hole in the center and not the trapezoid shape like in box cutters; the thinner blade flexes better when ?shaving? your glass at an angle.

Now when it rains, my wipers remove the water streak and spot free.[/b]
