**NEW Discussion of the Day**

I'm so gonna hate this when i have to go back to school next week.  I'm likeing the idea of starting these big discussions early in the morning.  But anyhoo...

here's my question:

what engine mods are there that can bolster a 2zz powered vehicle from a baseline horsepower rating of 160whp?

Other than a TRD exhaust, an Injen CAI... what else is there?

you think it's possible to get to 200whp NA with the bolt on stuff before you start going for the stroker kit and the blown route?

Yeap, it's been done a few times, basically you need all of the bolt-ons.

Turbo could get it over 300 easily if properly done.

absolutly... any Fi can do it...

but I'm more concerned about NA power.  Boost would be like the icing of the cake.

I've heard horror stories about the Injen CAI.  After installation the CEL come's on.  Why is that?  Is there a way to install it and not get the check light AT ALL?!

I was thinking more of a 03.  I think the 00-01 2zz had some issues, then toyota corrected them.

I don't understand why toyota lowered redline on the 02, but they raised it again on the 03.

what you think chris?

they make a decent impact on the 2zz or is it not even worth spending money on?
