Due to my little fender bender, one of my PIAA Extreme White H4 Headlamp bulbs blew out. At the time, over a year ago, I paid $65.00 for the pair and I am very pleased and happy with them. Light output and color were awsome...

I need to buy another pair of bulbs for my headlamps... But is there anyone here who convince me otherwise in buyinga different set of bulbs that would be better or brighter than these PIAAs?

I'm interested in hearing people's thoughts on this. I want to go as bright as I can without modding my headlamps or wires in any way... And don't tell me HIDs... Too much $$$...

Honeslty I have always been dissapointed in the performance that the PIAA's have. They seem to burn out every three months or so in our cars. The Silverstars lasted me a little longer, but they are not as white as the PIAA's. I bought the one Phillips Blue when my one Silvesrtar burned, and there was not a noticeable difference in the light output.

Honestly I say just stick with PIAA's, and maybe see if you can buy only one from someone?

Anyway, I would rate PIAA's the brightest but nor good on lifespan, and Silvesrtars less bright, but better in lifespan.

I sound like Kerry now (flip-fopping) so this is the end of my post :p

These are my opinions...

PIAA= not that great with light output and have blown out within weeks sometimes, months..never lasted longer then 4-5 months.  My first pair had a nice color to it and the lighting was a lil poor, but it definately was not worth the 85.00 I paid for them.

Eurolite= Had it in my corolla for over 2 years and I never had an issue with it.  The lighting was good as well.  well worth the $40.00.

Nokya=I have mixed thoughts about this company.  Bea has the Artic whites and they're bright as hell.  the only thing I dont' like is the bluish tint to it.  when u first turn them on, they look bluish but they eventually turn white.  but still has a small bluish tint to it.  If it wasn't for the tint, it'd get an A++++++++ from me.  especially since it was only $40.00.

I can't speak for Sliver Stars but I've heard lots of good things from them.  If you have ur DRL's disabled then they'll last a while.  but with the DRL's on, you run the risk of having them blow out within weeks or months.

wow you guys...

i can't alot of people have bad remarks about PIAA... they have been fabulous for me... they have been giving me light for about 3yrs now.. and they are just plain awesome.

i am having trouble with them though.... when i have my highbeams on, only the right one works. and sometimes when i turn on my light the left on is burnt out.  if i smack the bulb it then lights up again.  it's really wierd...:furious:

but anyway... if they lasted me 2years... they are definitly worth the $70

I think all newer corollas have had problems with bulb life due to the drl's and the auto headlights.  Especially when it gets cloudy or its not totaly dark yet they turn on and off like 50 times.  Those of you that have them know what i am talking about.  I had silverstars and they lasted maybe 6 months top at a shot.  Since i disabled my drls it also disabled the auto headlights and my current set of "hyper white ebay bulbs" has lasted almost 2 years now.

Yeah I love my PIAAs... http://www.piaa.com/  I've had my PIAAs over a year now with no problems and I love them and most likely will buy them again. I've had Eurolites in my Froester. They were good but blew out in less than a year. I now have Silverstars in my Forester and like them as well, but they are no match for the PIAAs. I just wanted to see what other peeps thought about different types of bulbs.

Has anyone heard or dealt with EuroDezign Xenon Bulbs? I kind of dig the bluish tint they have...
